My Table,
My Taste
Why All This?My love for food started long before I ever thought about putting a recipe on a website. Some of my earliest memories are in the kitchen—baking alongside my Grammie, cooking with my mom, and standing around the grill with my dad. Both sides of my family are full of foodies, so meals have always been more than just meals in our house. We critique every restaurant we visit, talk endlessly about what we’re eating, and genuinely believe that a good meal is something worth savoring. I’ve always especially loved baking, but what I love most is sharing what I make with the people I love.
I’ve also been incredibly lucky to travel to so many places around the world from a young age, and food has naturally become one of my favorite ways to experience them. Fresh nigiri in the Bahamas, croissants on the Spanish Steps, charcuterie under the Eiffel Tower, aged Gouda in the Netherlands, paella in Spain, chocolate in Switzerland—the list goes on. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t make food stops a main event everywhere I visit. To me, food is one of the most beautiful ways to understand a place. It tells stories about culture, tradition, regional flavors, and the people who live there. Most importantly, it has a way of bringing people together. There’s something so special about sitting around a table and sharing a meal.
That’s what I hope this little corner of my website becomes. Provisions is a place for the recipes I make, the meals I enjoy, the places I eat, and all the little things I find interesting about food. I hope you find new perspectives here, discover something that inspires you, and maybe even find yourself looking at the way food is made, shared, and enjoyed a little differently.
