Undergraduate Interior Design Studies at High Point University
Studying interior design at High Point University has honestly been such a wild (but rewarding) experience. Being in the Furniture Capital of the World means you’re constantly surrounded by inspiration, and coming all the way from Orange County, California, I just knew after my first visit that this was where I wanted to be. The program is no joke—it’s one of the heaviest course loads at the university with 128 credits, so yeah… there have been a lot of all-nighters in the studio. But between that and working High Point Furniture Market positions, I’ve gotten real, hands-on experience that makes it all feel worth it. It’s definitely pushed me, but in the best way, and I can already tell how much it’s preparing me for what’s next.

Senior Capstone Project: Emerson Creek- Crib Holding
Emerson Creek explores the design of a multifamily residential development tailored to young professionals, created in collaboration with a real-world development initiative. Working within a defined spatial footprint, the process included selecting artwork, developing a unifying theme, and designing the full exhibition experience from concept to execution. Considerations included spatial flow, material selection, mounting strategies, and visitor circulation to create an engaging and cohesive environment. In addition to the physical layout, the project extended to the development of marketing materials and on-site graphics, ensuring a consistent visual identity across both the exhibit and its promotion.
